| I.P Abstract & Summary | The invention relates to a composite filter membrane for the filtration of fine and ultrafine dust. The composite filter membrane, which contains nanocellulose fibers bonded to a porous support by a water-soluble binder, is, according to this invention, a composite filter membrane that is not a conventional multi-layered filter membrane but has only a single filter layer. The composite filter membrane of this invention exhibits minimal airflow resistance and a high filtration rate of fine particulate pollutants. The invention also relates to a method for the production of this filter membrane. |
